The Corvallis/OSU Bike Co-operative is a friendly place in Corvallis, Oregon that serves as a convenient place for people to gather and build and maintain bicycles (and other human powered conveyances). Here you can salvage parts for an affordable price, buy an entire bike, or participate in our build a bike program where you volunteer to help build a bike for us and a bike for yourself out of salvaged parts we provide. The co-op strives to re-use components and fabrication of new parts to foster innovative transportation. We regularly hold bike classes on many topics of interest. It's also a fun place to hang out to teach and learn from other bicyclists.

Vision statement, tag-lines and 30 second elevator pitch
markv — Thu, 2009-04-23 10:41
hi,
Our current statement is:
"To empower the Corvallis community to realize the harmony of human powered transportation by providing inclusive and flexible resources."
I prefer 'create' over 'provide'. and to order flexible before inclusive, so I propose:
"To empower the Corvallis community to realize the harmony of human powered transportation by creating flexible and inclusive resources."
Then there is the tag line on our home page, that starts as
"The Bicycle Cooperative empowere the Corvallis..."
which is fine by me.
I am also working on the 30 second elevator pitch, which should include our vision, and more.
Mark,
